We get a lot of questions regarding the differences bewteen these different lifts. Often times the names are confusing. But it is quite simple. All of the facelifts vary with these elements: 1. length of incision, 2. extent of dissection and skin elevation, 3. Whether the SMAS is elevated deep to it and lifted or lifted only. Once the neck is addressed with an incision under the chin it is considered a neck lift.
